This is a great example of how long exposure can create stunning shots of seascapes. Having done this myself many times, especially in Hawaii, I know how difficult it is to expose the shots just right especially when the sky is a lot brighter than the foreground and if you don't have filters.
I'm not sure if you used filters, but either way, the result is stunning. The sky is perfectly exposed, very realistically and not overtly dramatic as similar shots can be. The water is a beautiful iridescent blue and the waves that were captured in the exposure really give it a soft feel when splashing over the rocks.
Overall, excellent technique and composition of a tough shot.
This is a lovely shot my friend, very crisp, with nice warm colors that stand out. I liked a lot the shutter speed you used on this one, did not totally blur the water out but added a sense of motion. What draws me into it is the light that reflects on the rocks and really makes the picture stand out! Fantastic, I would probably prefer a more dark sky just to add even more to the feeling of the sunset, this doesn't mean that I didn't like the sky the clouds where there to add weight to sky and balance the shot between the 3 earthy elements!
your welcome Yeah they are quite expensive for filters but worth it . If you cant afford the Lees the cokin P filter system isnt bad for the price but you will get color cast from the cokins if you start stacking filter on top of each other
Yeah im using the p series now. =/ and i get serious color cast when i stack them, thats why i asked what filters you used. do you have this problem when u used the z series?
