Another Image of South Lake Tahoe . It was really cold at the top of this peak and the wind made it a lot worse , was rugged up with thermals , jumper and two jackets and still cold . Was a 8 image stitch over looking the lake , would have loved to get a colorful sunset here but was unfortantly only in Lake Tahoe for 2 days , hopefully return some time next year and have more luck .
Will have a lot more images coming over the next weeks .
My webiste is nearing completion as well so I have start a fan page which I will post specials deals and information on my photography [link]
I have had a few requests for larger size image for the use as wallpapers computer . So over the next few weeks will resize and uplpad selected images to my blog: [link] at the wallpaper page on (Link on the top right) which people will be able to use .
Great photo, Im off to Tahoe later this month from the UK (Cant wait), is this taken near/on the climb to Eagle Lake ? and is there any other "cant be missed" short hike spots for the best photo,s. I know the whole area is magic but I only have two days (staying in Squaw valley) so planning is key to my trip.
Any tips from people who have been would be appreciated.
I have photographed Tahoe for over eight years, and to be completely honest with you, the Nevada portion of the lake (east shore) is the absolute best. Nearly all of it is contained with a state park, undeveloped and accessible to the public except for a very few spots near Casino Row and within the town of Incline Village. Most of California's west shore is built-up and strictly blockaded by private property. The best places are Secret Harbor (1 mile), Hidden Beach (3/4 mile), Chimney Beach (1 mile), Tunnel Creek View (3 mile round), and the North Canyon-Marlette Lake Trail (5 miles round). All of them offer excellent scenes for us shutterbugs. Hope this helps.
When you say "8 image stitch" are you refering to HDR technique? Your pictures are phenominal.. I am just a novice photographer and I am curious to know if "stitching" is the same as HDR...
Any tips from people who have been would be appreciated.
Thanks JGG.
